Tuition-Free, Public Charter Schools

Innovative educational opportunities for 7-12th grade students

Technical Academies of Minnesota schools are tuition-free, public charter schools serving grades 7 – 12

Mission – The Mission of Technical Academies of Minnesota (TAM) is to provide a student-directed learning environment that is challenging, democratic, reflective, joyful, and hopeful. Student’s unique needs and capacities are appreciated, and every student is valued as a whole human being – heart, mind, body, and soul.

Vision – TAM is where every student learns, discovers, creates, and inspires to make the world a better place.

ORGANIZATION AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Headrush uploads the Minnesota and local standards into the system so that as projects are designed, students and advisors select applicable standards that align with the goals of the project. Headrush is an online cloud database that is uploaded with state graduation standards. When the student designs a project the software helps track the applicable graduation standards. The program has many functions that allow students, advisers, and parents to be aware of standards that are not being met so the individualized learning plan can be adjusted.
